Medallion Signature Guarantee
A Medallion Signature Guarantee is a special signature guarantee for the transfer of securities, such as stocks and bonds. The medallion stamp indicates, we, Members Community Credit Union guarantee the signature is genuine and the signer has the legal capacity and authority to sign the document. This is a free service available to MCCU members who have been with the credit union for six months or longer.
Please note, we do not provide Medallion Signature Guarantee stamps for Powers of Attorney. A notary stamp or seal is not the same as a medallion signature guarantee. Notaries verify the identity of signers and witnesses to documents.

Required documents:
- Statement of the account holding the securities.
- Must be dated within the last six months and include the following:
- Account holder name
- Account number
- Ending balance
- Must be dated within the last six months and include the following:
- Valid government-issued ID
- For title changes/transfers due to a deceased owner
- Copy of death certificate
- Court documents appointing a Personal Representative/Administrator/Executor. A document will not be stamped on a will alone,court-appointed documents are required.
- The document(s) requesting to be stamped
- Additional documents may be requested based on the ownership and the nature of the transfer
