Certificate of Deposit or Share Certificate
Commonly referred to as a CD or sometimes just certificate. No matter what you call it, CDs are a great way to save with a guaranteed interest rate locked-in for the term of your choice.
- Choose how much you want to put in a certificate of deposit.
- Minimum deposit is $1,000
- For minor, primary owners it’s only $250
- Pick the term that works best for you. This means you’ll want to pick a time frame where you won’t need those funds.
- Worst case you pay the early withdrawal fee and access the funds they mature.
Ahoy, ratey!

One Bump CD
This Share Certificate account has a fixed rate for the term of the certificate until the member exercises his/her right to increase (aka “bump”) the rate to current rate that is being offered on other accounts with the same term. This “bump” can be done one time at any point during the term of the certificate. Once bumped, the new rate will remain in effect through the rest of the certificate’s term.
